'Tordu' is an experiment in the creation of typefaces based on randomly generated criteria: wide, bold, no contrast.
I decided to explore the notion of 'no contrast' (beyond the absence of full and unfull originally understood) by drawing broken, twisted stems and lines which, when brought together in a working text, create an optical effect that blurs the contrast between regular and italic.
This project was produced as part of a workshop with Roxane Gataud.
