Conception of an editorial object on Alexander von Humboldt, an explorer considered to be a pioneer of ecology.
I drew inspiration from two key aspects of Humboldt's research: the importance given to landscape and the notion of exploration.
The book takes the shape of a long leaflet that entices the reader to embark on a journey in Humboldt’s manner. This never-ending format invites readers to physically explore the essays and the book itself, to lift the pages to discover hidden elements, to get lost... like an expedition through the world and the explorer's universe. As if the text became an immense landscape.
